These paintings are part of a small series called "Dead at 27". This project started with the idea that I should try to do something different--a non-abstract piece.
Once I started in this style, I did a few more. The others don't necessarily fit the "Dead at 27" series, but they have similar styles.
The following paintings are a bit older but I never showed them. They are a continuation of the Buddy Holly painting that I did for the La Mirada Performing Arts Center. I guess I just got caught up with his image and wanted to continue, regardless of whether or not it would be displayed there.
